I used to believe this as a kid

Women didn't have ears.

My mom had long hair. I never saw her ears.

One day, she brushed her hair aside, and things clicked.

Cute story, but guess what? We may have ears, but we still won't listen when we're pissed at you / men in general.

It happened that a weak tornado hit a toll plaza sometime in the '80s. I heard my dad talking about it. And I associated tornadoes with toll plazas for a long time.

So I thought tornadoes specifically hit toll plazas, and I was uncomfortable when approaching them in the car for a long time. To this day I would rather waste a dollar in gas and extra time to avoid an 80-cent toll plaza.

Jenni - What? What?

Daudi - Ha ha! My life is full of dubious associations like that.
