Honor. Duty.

In honor of restoring honor today, here's an honor of a tribute to the man who will walk in the honorable footsteps of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today:

I have more to say, but I'm busy organizing an affair of my own called, "Restoring America's Duty." Our keynote speaker is Alan Grayson, and Al Franken, Dennis Kucinich and Rachel Maddow will also address the estimated crowd of 2 billion. It will be held on Sept. 11 at Ronald Reagan's grave. But it won't be political.

I just learned that the date and location have some historical significance. Karma, I guess, or maybe divine crystal light energy. But out of respect, we won't stand directly on top of Reagan's grave during our speeches; we'll be two feet away. And to show our commitment to taking back Reagan's social and political legacy, we've invited Ron Reagan to speak. So there!

But again, let me stress that this event is in no way political. So don't bring any signs. Signs make things political. See you there!

he and ann coulter have actually said some of the exact same things about the 9/11 survivors. they've both uttered such hateful things about innocent people that they made my jaw drop, and i'm a difficult person to shock. it's like they collaborated on that. ah, compassionate conservatives.

In the sprit of his tirades:
If Glenn wants to walk in the steps of MLK today, the best I can hope for is that someone also allows him to die in the same fashion as MLK. I won't take that back either. We are better off without this person.

Ian McGibboney said...

I'd tell Glenn and Ann to get a room, but they'd probably just reproduce.

Glenn's death would only make him a martyr to his minions, and he'd want that. But yes, the best thing he can do for his country is step down as a pundit. He has no journalistic ethics and actually crosses a line by being as irresponsible and alarmist as he is. Restoring honor to the airwaves, if you will.

Beck doesn't really bother me too much honestly. He's an unmedicated douchebag, and in and of himself laughable. What I really have a problem with is that there are enough stupid people to make this toolbag more than a sidenote.

It's just a reminder of how stupid people en masse are.

but remember, it's the Tea Part that's "extremist"

Oh please Alday. We lefties might be big wusses to you, but we aren't totally neutered. Hell, give him what he wants. When you perpetuate a fraud as shameful and disgusting as this, you are asking to be a martyr. Uncouth as it may be, I'd be lying if i said I didn't think the world would be a better place without people like him. I won't apologize for hating people who spread hate like microbial warfare...call it a boomerang effect. But will I act on that hate? NO. Will a teabagger stab a Muslim cabbie though? Yes.

Tom Alday said...

That "teabagger" was a liberal that worked for a pro-muslim non profit. Get your facts straight.

The fact that you openly wish for the deaths of people that you disagree with validates everything I've ever said about you, you're a vile, repulsive cunt. But as much as I dislike you I'd never wish for your death, just another example of how I'm better than you.

Keep this up guys, I'm love watching the left slowly unhinge and die on the vine.

November is going to be so sweet!

Ian McGibboney said...

Hey, Tom, why is every picture on your website of someone you hate?

Tom Alday said...

And? I may dislike people and make fun of them on my website, but I don't openly pray for their deaths like your little bitch friend.

In other words, I'm not an unhinged psycho like your pals.

Ian McGibboney said...

Well, I don't think I condoned it, did I? Are you responsible for every thought your friends express, assuming you have any?

But in her defense, Beck's rhetoric is both arrogant and inflammatory. He deserves to be off the air because he goes beyond simple right-wing fartery into the realm of incitement. He is oh-so-subtly imploring his viewers to take up arms against the government. Some, like that police shooter in Pittsburgh, already have.

And I'm not one to say influences like music, porn or video games make someone violent. But this seems to be Beck's purpose, and it doesn't belong on the air.

And if you're upset by Venessa's comment, Tom, then I assume you're also against Beck's joking about poisoning Nancy Pelosi and other shock-jock and look-at-me-I'm-MLK talk. If so, then good for you.

Tom Alday said...

Ian, you condone it by not rebuking it and allowing the comment to stay on your site. That's condoning it.

All the rest of your claptrap is opinion. Beck has every right to say what he does, just like your fabulous MSNBC anchors have the right to say the crap they say.

I do love how "incitement" has turned into "turning people against Democrats" recently. Look Ian, you're party was going to lose no matter what Beck says or does. They suck at running the country and every piece of economic data that comes out shines a bright light on their colossal ineptitude. All he's "incited" people to do is get passionate about politics, something that's actually good for the country as a whole, but in your partisan worldview the fact that most of the "incited" will be voting to end your little junta you see it as a bad thing. Sorry buddy, you can wish him dead all you want, but November is still going to be painful for your shitastic party.

As for what Beck says I don't listen to him or watch his show. The entire extent of my Glen Beck watching is the video I posted a month ago of him making fun of a terrorist, that's it. I never called him "my friend" like you did with cuntbag Vanessa. So if he said something about poisoning Pelosi then yeah, that's just as wrong as what she said. See, that's how you "don't condone" something Ian. Try it.

Ian McGibboney said...

Tom, I don't condone her statement any more than I condone any of your execrable bullshit. She's not inciting anyone, and thus not violating the bounds of free speech. So it stays. Unless you also want to go.

Not that you give a shit. I mean, if you REALLY were concerned about the boundaries of free speech and safety, you wouldn't have put my personal and employer's info on your site at a time when a lot of people were reading your blog and could have potentially had a field day with that sort of thing. But as it is, you just wanted another excuse to call my personal friend a "vile, repulsive cunt." So take your sudden self-righteousness and shove it.

And by the way, if this is you without Glenn Beck, you're best off not watching him.

Tom Alday said...

Hahahaha, how petty.

Ian, that info I gathered was freely available...on your employers website. If you are so concerned about your job info being on the net perhaps you should take that up with your boss. I'm sure he/she would also like to know that, per my server logs, you're browsing my website on company time too. Maybe they allow that, I don't know, but the point is don't throw stones.

Also your "personal friend" is a violent extremist that wants people she disagrees with dead. I don't know if that reflects as poorly on you as it does her, but it's certainly not good.

Also, I'm still wondering what the point is of pointing out that my website is filled with pictures of people I "hate", I don't know if it was some lame attempt at a "GOTCHA" for me rebuking what your quasi-terrorist friend said or what. Explain.

Ian McGibboney said...

My point, Tom, is that you get exceedingly personal. Obsessive, even. I've seen your workplace website too, but it's apropos of nothing. I would never post it here because even though you apparently have nothing to hide (as do I), I don't feel it's relevant or appropriate to do so. I can make my points without the cheap and/or potentially inciteful shots.

Speaking of...don't you dare mischaracterize my friend. You don't know her, otherwise you'd know that she's a very caring, loving person. She's a loudmouth at times, but she's the first to admit it. She didn't say she wanted Beck dead, and in fact later said she would never take it that far. And I know she doesn't want anyone else to do so either. I know that because I know her. I can see how her words would be seen as something other than a case of, what goes around, comes around, but that's not the same thing thing as saying, "I wish he was dead."

Beck is emblematic, nay, the torch bearer, of a toxic strain of punditry that suggests that the real enemies of America are half the people who live here. When V says that that is not the kind of rhetoric we need in our lives, I'm inclined to agree. By throwing around terms like "quasi-terrorist" and "violent extremist," Tom, you are a perfect example of the peril of that infecting our discourse.

Tom Alday said...

Dude, I posted the link your company put of you on their website 1 time, a year ago. The fact that it's been this little bee in your bonnet for a whole year makes me laugh. Also, that info is available from Google, where I believe I found it, so take it up with them. If you're so concerned about your secret life maybe you shouldn't have a blog, plastered with your name all over it. Also, maybe enact some privacy measures on your Facebook profile, it's wide open and I just spent a good 10 minutes reading your Wall (you're really obsessed with sports btw). I know your parents names, your siblings names and even your home address. I'm not saying that in a threatening way at all, I'm just saying that your info (and mine btw) can be found with a web browser and a spare 5 minutes. Don't get all pissy about it. That's the age we live in. Privacy is dead.

As for your extremist friend, the fact that she later, weakly, walked back from her stated desire to see Glen Beck dead merely because he espouses a contrary political opinion from her matters not, she still said it, you still condoned it. To have her say something like that, and then have the BALLS to call me an "example of the peril that is infecting our discourse" is the height of LOL.

btw, you seem to forgot I was around for your sides words and actions during the previous admin, don't get all self righteous now after you actively contributed to the same type of heated rhetoric you now deride.

Ian McGibboney said...

Well, Tom, that's a testament to your skills as a sleuth that you were able to find so much on me, considering that my privacy settings are, as far as I can tell, pretty tight. Mostly because of people like you. Privacy may be dead, but I often wonder what compels you to spend so much time on me, especially at 2:24 a.m. on Sunday morning. I mean, I know lots of people who disagree with me, but none take it to your level. You're like a vengeful ex-girlfriend. I can't even understand the hate that drives you. What is your problem? Seriously...what is your problem?

Tom Alday said...

Ian, you've labeled me everything that is wrong in America and you have to wonder why I have a problem with you? seriously?

Also, I'm coding, and I hate bugs, that's why I'm really up late. Posting here is a simple distraction.

FedUpIn Cleveland said...

Can we stick with a couple of simple facts here. The original article states that the estimated crowd will be 2 billion people. Now unless you plan to invite the population of China, I think that may be just a little overstated.
You are having Alan Grayson as a keynote speaker? Really? Then I look at the rest of your speakers and I see Franken, Maddow, Moonbeam (sorry I meant Kucinich) and now Ron Reagan. These people have no credibility and can't draw an audience anywhere.

*facepalm*

venessalewis said...

And double facepalm for when one just isn't enough.

The fact that Tom now anxiously awaits any post I make in some lame attempt to admonish me makes ME laugh. I'm honored really, that he now spends as much time hating/obsessing over me as he does over you Ian. Oh, and also that other poor girl who's blog he trolls. Remember? The one in which he wished HER death (to her face no less) after he found out she had a terminal illness. But yeah, Tom's the good guy here, let's have some perspective.

Tom Alday said...

I don't even know what you're talking about you stupid skank, and sadly, I don't think you do either. Seek help you delusional bitch before you act on your desires and kill someone that disagrees with you.

Oh wow....TOTAL denial....I didn't even see that one coming. Tom, you aren't the only "sleuth" on this blog.

Now, the almost word for word dig that I originally used on him? Yeah, expected. Not only is he unoriginal, he's becoming oh-so-predictable.

Tom Alday said...

I love when the targets start acting like they "know" something, it would be enjoyable if you weren't such an insufferable cunt.

You're a human shaped pile of piss and shit Vanessa. I take solace in the fact that no matter what I ever say I'll never be the shit stain on humanity that you are.

venessalewis said...

You really are so predictable Tom, and so, so uncreative. Could ya GET a new meme, other than CUNT CUNT, SHIT, Wuss, Pussy, you all make me laugh, you are pee-ons, I am king of my imaginary world, etcetera, and ad nauseum. Keep it up, you are so easy. And to borrow one of your oft- repeated phrases "My work here is done!"

Tom Alday said...

The fact that you bring it up lets me know it bothers you. cunt.

When have I ever said "My work here is done!"? You live in a fantasy world you fucking retard.

rhonda said...

venessa: ever notice how despite the fact that all of us have distinctive writing styles, pretty much all of the internet bullies sound the exact same? it's formulaic, really.

flimsy/nonexistent argument+ apparent crippling personality deficiencies = swearing profusely at the other person. CAPS LOCK followed twelve exclamation points optional. hehe.

in the spirit of keeping it real, i'm actually guilty of dropping the "my work here is done" line elsewhere on the internet. i can own up to it, because really, it is. :-)

Tom Alday said...

Oh you got me, you got me Rhonda. I haven't heard that one before. "They all sounds the samez! hehehe!"

Go back to your AOL chatroom you fucking child.

Nice cussing by the way....let's us all see just how easy you are.

Tom Alday said...

Oh no, not cussing, how horrible and uncouth!

/reads your post wishing for Glen Beck to be assassinated.

Robert Taylor said...

I want to stay on topic by stating that although I agree with many of the points on the Tea Party's agenda, I don't support Glenn Beck.

I'm surprised Ian doesn't like Beck however, given that they're both ultimately Statists who love to embellish their inconsistent political opinions with entertainment whenever they have the time.

rhonda said...

the samez? if your only response is to devolve into l337speak, then you can't be shocked when people make fun of you just for the sheer hell of it. you should watch glenn beck, tom. you'd probably pick up some new tactics.

Tom Alday said...

Oh no, a bunch of idiot liberals making fun of me, how ever will I survive!?

You people do realize I've been dealing with you people and your weak ass insults for a long time?

LOLZ TOM GO WATCH GLEN BECK LOL ME FUNNY!

fuck off

rhonda said...

"You people do realize I've been dealing with you people and your weak ass insults for a long time?" WOW.

in bizarro world, we've been coming to your blog for years! we've been calling you names, trolling your threads, and even publicly posting your job and personal contact information for about six years now.

...meanwhile, back at the ranch, you probably need paxil.

Tom Alday said...

I have no idea what you're saying, you jump from quotes to then to speaking in first then third person. You're a jumbled mess and you suck at insults.
