Defense wins games, not flagships

Well, well! It seems that the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns--the team that LSU both hates and pretends to not care about--has won its third consecutive football game.

Against who, you might ask? Northwestern Southeastern Jimmy Bob State? South Louisiana Community College? Lafayette High School?

Try the Houston Cougars. Try 31-28, after trailing 21-0 a mere 16 minutes into the game! Not bad for a team taking their first lead in the final 62 seconds, and preserving it with a tough defensive stand. Not a bad showing against a (now 4-2) team who beat Oklahoma State two weeks ago.

See, this is why I don't follow SEC football. Too much heartbreak.

I was at a company party in San Antonio, so I couldn't listen to the game. But, one of my co-workers friends had text msg'd him saying UL won. We thought he was joking b/c last time we saw the score it was 20-0. However, he called his friend and found out that we had come back. This was a sweet victory, and we now go into conference play with a 3 game winning streak.

ULL has a lot to be proud of, here. Houston is a good team, and played the Univ of Miami very tough the week prior.

Congrats Ragin Cajuns!

You're right, oyster. I rechecked my source, and they corrected Houston's schedule. Seems the Cougars are even better than I originally thought.

Everyone needs to pull for the University of Louisville Cardinals, 5-0 for the first time in modern history. The cardinal, by the way, is the fiercest of the robin-sized birds.
